July 5: Handplane Basics: Learn how to tune and use these indispensable tools. Steve will bring in some of his antiques to admire.

July 12: No class, Steve is in Tyler giving a demonstration

July 19: Milling Basics. Learn how to use the Jointer, Planer and Tablesaw to mill boards four-square.

July 26: Mortise & Tenon Basics: Make this most traditional of furniture joints.

Aug. 2. Pen turning basics. See how easy it is to turn a pen or pencil.

Aug 9: Finishing Basics. Many woodworkers hate to finish. Learn how to control this important last step in your projects.

These small (4-5 student) classes are designed for the novice woodworker who wants to learn good techniques. Emphasis on safety and proper tool use. Tuition and materials are included in the price, and we provide everything you will need including safety glasses. The student will have the project(s) to take home at the end of the class. Finishing is not included in these classes, but advice is offered on the best finishes for a given project.
