Japanese-Style Waterstones

Japanese-Style Waterstones are fast cutting. General purpose stones (upper right) range from 800 to 1200 grit. Polishing stones are 3000, 4000, 6000 (lower right) and 8000 (left) grit. The adjustable stone rack (under the 1000 grit stone above) helps to keep your stones from moving during use. The Nagura stone is a natural chalk used to raise a cutting slurry on polishing stones (3000# and higher).
