A venturi system uses air flow from a 1+ HP compressor to provide sufficient vacuum for chucking. Venturi systems have their own vacuum gauges and do not require a 420-2977 gauge and valve kit. The Ped-Vac systems use a foot switch to activate the venturi, while the Pro VAK units (pictured at right) have a manual stopcock valve.
