There are several self-centering scroll chucks on the market today, but none equal the OneWay chucks for smooth action and tenacious holding power. Designed by Canadian turners Tim & Kevin Clay, the jaws are heavily machined to provide numerous holding surfaces for both expansion and contraction chucking operations. The headstock taper adaptors assure perfectly centered chucking every time. Jaws will fit the Nova Chuck.

The StrongHold chuck is an even more massive gear-head chuck for the most demanding turning operations. The same attention to detail and fine engineering seen in the scroll chuck is apparent in the StrongHold chuck.

Once you start using these chucks you will never want to use a faceplate again.

Oneway Jaw Sets and Replacement Screws

The #1 and #3 jaw sets are designed for tenons 3/8" to 2" and 3" to 5", respectively. Reversing jaws allow chucking of a finished bowl up to 12" in diameter to finish the bottom and remove all evidence of chucking.

NEW!! The Talon Gear-Head Chuck for Mini Lathes

Now the power of gear-head chucking is available to those of use with smaller lathes. Designed just like it's big brother, the Stronghold (see below), the Talon is just 3.5" in diameter and weighs just 3.4 lbs. The talon uses oneway scroll chuck adaptors and jaws, but also has a special spigot jaws and #3 jaws available. Use the Mini-Jumbo jaws for reverse chucking.
