Chisel Planes

Discontinued by Stanley in 1944, the chisel planes are great for clean-up cuts at glue joints and at the end of rebates, as well as for trimming plugs and dovetails.

Scraping Planes

The original Stanley #212 scraping plane was originally described as the ideal tool for thicknessing bamboo fly rod sections. This tool will also put a glass finish on hardwoods. Toothing blades for preparing surfaces of veneering are also available.

The NEW #73 Shoulder Plane is based on a Record Classic, and has a 1-1/4" wide iron bedded at 18 degrees with adjustable throat. 8-1/2" overall, 4 lbs.

The #72 Medium Shoulde Plane has a 3/4" sole.
