#1 Smoothing Plane

A jewel of a plane for the collector or tool enthusiast. A faithful reproduction of the Bailey #1 patternmaker's smoothing plane, out of production since 1943. The body is 1-1/2" x 5-3/4", with a heavy 1-1/4" iron.

Standard & Low-angle Block Planes

The iron on the standard block plane is bedded at 20 degrees
The low angle block palne (12.5 degree bedding angle) is ideal for highly figured woods or end grain.

#140 Skew Block Plane.

This plane has several unique features that make it one of my favorites. The low angle iron is skewed to facilitate clean cutting. The plane has a fence for rebates and a removable face for shoulder planing.

#62 Low Angle Jack Plane

Ideal for planing end grain projects such as butcher block cutting boards and highly figured grain. This single iron plane is a reproduction of a Stanley classic.

Discontinued by Stanley in 1944, the chisel planes are great for clean-up cuts at glue joints and at the end of rebates, as well as for trimming plugs and dovetails.

The original Stanley #212 scraping plane was originally described as the ideal tool for thicknessing bamboo fly rod sections. This tool will also put a glass finish on hardwoods. Toothing blades for preparing surfaces of veneering are also available.

The scrub plane is designed to remove large amounts of wood from rough sawn timbers prior to finishing with a jack and smoothing plane. The massive blade eliminates chatter and gives a beautiful heft to the tool.

Lie Nielsen has just introduced their version of the Stanley 060-1/2 low angle block plane with adjustable throat. Made with an iron body and bronze fittings, this is the best block plane on the block.
